New 14.7W LED drivers from GlacialPower offer great choice of dimming

GlacialPower, a division of the LED technology manufacturer GlacialTech Inc, has today announced the launch of the GP-HS15P-42C and GP-HS15P-42CA, a new pair of LED Drivers that offer users a wide choice of dimming functions, a built-in DC output jack connector for easy installation and maintenance, and a rated power output of up to 14.7W suitable for LED lights from 26V to 42V. The supported input voltage range is 90 to 264VAC, providing off-the-shelf electrical compatibility with almost any location worldwide, and constant current mode is also supported.

With dimming support, and a compact design that avoids the installation and reliability problems that plague many competing products, GlacialPower’s newest LED driver is perfect for interior and exterior applications, while still providing the sturdy protection of a IP67 rating and a fully isolated plastic case.

These new drivers offer energy saving features and a clean, low distortion DC output. GlacialPower’s design experience ensures that EU standards and other safety and energy efficiency directives are closely followed.

Choice of dimming types to match LED modules and lighting needs

In order to support a wide variety of lighting scenarios and LED modules, these two drivers support several optional dimming control modes. The GP-HS15P-42CA provides analog DC voltage dimming controlled by an external voltage from 0 to 10 V DC, and offers PWM dimming, as well as resistance dimming mode controlled by resistance ranging from 0 to 100 KΩ.

The safe LED driver with OTP and SCP protection

The GP-HS15P-42C and HS15P-42CA both feature fully isolated plastic cases, IP67 rated protection and class II power design without an earth pin. Over-temperature protection (OTP) and short circuit protection (SCP) are both built in.

Energy efficient and compliant with the EU requirements

In line with the latest international standards, at full load these new drivers provide a power factor of greater than 0.88 at 120VAC and more than 0.8 at 240VAC, offering substantially better electrical efficiency than older generations of lighting products. Both drivers are compliant with the most recent critical European directive on energy-related products, which is (ErP) EU 1194/2012, Stage 3.

The no load power consumption is always kept below 0.5 W at 230VAC for greater energy saving. As well as being efficient, the power output is smooth and clean, to protect LEDs and avoid maintenance issues. In addition, set up time is less than 0.5 seconds at full load, for both drivers.

Features:

  • Universal AC input from 90 to 264V AC.
  • Constant current mode.
  • 3 in 1 dimming function: 0-10V, PWM, or Resistor.
  • Protection: SCP and OTP.
  • IP67 rated.
  • Fully isolated plastic case.
  • Class II power design without earth pin.
  • Operating temperature from -20°C to 60°C at full load.
  • Set up time is less than 0.5 Sec at full load.
  • Compliant with ErP EU 1194/2012, Stage 3 directives for energy related products.
  • DC Jack connector for easy installation and maintenance.
