International Heat Pump Development Forum will be held concurrently with the 2012 show

ISH Shanghai & CIHE – Shanghai International Trade Fair for Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning, organised by Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd and Beijing B&D Tiger Exhibition Co Ltd, will run from 26 – 28 September 2012 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. The fair will cover an area of 11,500 sqm, and is expected to attract more than 200 exhibitors and 8,000 visitors from around the world.

Mr. Richard Li, Deputy General Manager for Messe Frankfurt in China said: “As Central and Eastern China presents us with unique opportunities, ISH Shanghai & CIHE will not simply be a copy of our Beijing show. The fair is targeted at the growing residential market in the two regions, as both areas boast consumers with strong purchasing power, who are looking for better comfort and energy efficiency in their HVAC products. We believe the fair will greatly help HVAC exhibitors build their brand image and find new customers across both regions.”

Mr. Li Hongbo, General Manager of Beijing B&D Tiger Exhibition Co Ltd added: “As the sister show to ISH China & CIHE in Beijing, ISH Shanghai & CIHE has received strong support from the industry. Booth reservation as well as the backing of industry associations has been positive. The Shanghai show is quickly becoming the prime industry destination for the two regions.”

Maincor AG, a German exhibitor specialising in piping solutions and industrial machinery, will participate at ISH Shanghai & CIHE 2012. They believe the global ISH brand can help them expand existing business in China as well as tap into new opportunities. Mr Christian Schneider, Export Sales Director for Maincor AG’s subsidiary, Mainpex GmbH & Co. KG said: “We want to establish the Mainpex brand at the Shanghai fair, as well as present our tailor-made products for China’s Central and Eastern markets. The exhibition is a good opportunity for us to learn about the latest trends in the market to align our products accordingly.”

Another German exhibitor, Jürgen Schlösser Armaturen GmbH, who focuses on floor-heating solutions, chose ISH Shanghai & CIHE as its entry point into China’s HVAC market. Mr Jürgen Schlösser, General Manager, expressed: “We will introduce some high-quality, energy-saving products at the show, including floor-heating devices, radiators, valves, pipes, accessories and fittings.  We want to expand our business into China, and we believe ISH Shanghai & CIHE is the perfect venue to introduce our brand to the market.”

Mr Song Weiming, Director of Heating and Radiator Committee of China Construction Metal Structure Association, welcomes the addition of ISH Shanghai & CIHE to China’s HVAC market. He remarked: “I believe the show will stimulate the development of radiator products in China’s Central and Eastern HVAC markets and offer companies an efficient platform to promote new products as well as discover new business opportunities with qualified potential partners.”

Mr Liu Hao, Executive Deputy Director, Floor-Heating Committee of China Construction Metal Structure Association said: “Following on the proven success of ISH China & CIHE as well as China’s new policies and initiatives on energy conservation, I believe ISH Shanghai & CIHE can help companies in the floor-heating business further explore opportunities in China’s Central and Eastern markets. I think the Shanghai show will be successful for these two regions.”

Another industry supporter, Ms Tang Rong, Secretary General of the Gas Heating Application Specialty Committee of China’s Civil Engineering Society, shared: “As living standards continue to improve, air-conditioning units cannot meet the diverse heating needs of Central and East China. Due to both regions’ infrastructure, central heating was traditionally not a popular aspect to building. I believe that individual household heating solutions such as wall-hung boilers will become the most promising technology in this area and will grow in demand. I also believe ISH Shanghai & CIHE will open a new chapter for these products across the two regions.”

International Heat Pump Development Forum will be held concurrently with the 2012 show

In China, the Central Government’s current energy policy calls for the reduction of energy use by 65%. Since HVAC systems account for a substantial amount of energy consumption in buildings, heating solutions such as GSHP (ground source heat pumps) and ASHP (air source heat pumps) as well as floor-heating have grown in popularity.

To further showcase the latest trends in these alternative HVAC solutions, ISH Shanghai & CIHE will run concurrently with the International Heat Pump Development Forum themed “Driving into Green Sustainable Development Way”, which will introduce current government policies, investment opportunities and the latest innovations in heat pump technology. Both the HVAC show and the concurrent forum compliment each other by gathering leaders and experts from governments, associations and enterprises to offer green technology solutions to the growing market in China.

ISH Shanghai & CIHE is part of Messe Frankfurt’s architecture and technology fairs, headed by the biennial ISH event in Frankfurt taking place 12 – 16 March 2013. In addition, the annual show ISH China & CIHE – China International Trade Fair for Sanitation, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning will return to the New China International Exhibition Center in Beijing from 8 – 10 April 2013.
