GreenBizCheck’s Sustainability Course Comes to Melbourne

GreenBizCheck will be bringing their two (2) day Sustainability Course to Melbourne from 3-4 October 2011. Sustainability is set to become one of the business community’s highest priorities as organisations around the world come under increasing pressure to reduce their environmental impact. Research also shows that consumers are increasingly eco-conscious and most companies want to take action but are unsure of how to get started.

The Sustainability Course will help business owners gain an understanding of the latest environmental issues, trends, regulations and solutions. They will establish core knowledge to lead their organisations sustainability actions and learn the latest in change management techniques to ensure organisational engagement.Attendees will be given the opportunity to apply several proven models and tools and network with other sustainability professionals as well as discuss ideas with world leading presenters Dr Badin Gibbes and Dr James Carlopio.

Dr Badin Gibbes presents on corporate action to date, case studies, government regulation, carbon tax trends and much more. Badin is an environmental engineer with over 15 years of experience in the environmental management field. He has held positions across a range of sectors from local and State Government organisations to private engineering consulting companies and more recently in research and higher education. In his current role with The University of Queensland’s School of Civil Engineering he is actively involved in undergraduate and post-graduate teaching programs, with a particular focus on the development and delivery of courses in environmental management, sustainable design and water resources engineering.

Dr James Carlopio is a Professor at Bond University and formerly AGSM. James has worked on projects for numerous Australian, European and U.S.-based organisations, most recently in the areas of strategy design and implementation, ‘green’ change, the implementation of innovation and new technology, organisational change, applying design principles and creativity to strategy design and development, personal change and influence, organisational and management development and strategy implementation and planning.

GreenBizCheck hosted their first Sustainability Course in Sydney at Bradman Corporate and both speakers received a 95% excellence rating for content and delivery; an international standard.
