GlacialLight complete flood light solutions

Slash operating costs with efficient and durable GlacialLight flood lights

Taipei, Taiwan – GlacialLight, a division of the Taiwanese technology manufacturer, GlacialTech Inc., provides energy efficient LED Flood Lights. GlacialLight’s Flood Light series now includes models with Standard AC input, DC input, and PIR Sensors. They are suitable for a very wide variety of indoor and outdoor architectural lighting needs, in commercial, industrial and residential environments. Special functions include solar powered lighting and security-enhancing illumination.

These products are the ideal replacement for traditional incandescent bulb or halogen lamps. GlacialLight uses LED chips by Philips Lumileds. Compared to equivalent mercury flood lights, LED flood lights consume far less energy.

Slash operating costs

GlacialLight’s long-life LEDs slash operating costs, with an average lifetime of at least 10 times beyond that of traditional halogen lamps. The well-constructed flood light housings provide long-lasting durability and low maintenance costs, thanks to features like high-strength glass, anti-corrosion surface treatment, aluminum die cast housing, corrosion-resistant stainless steel braces and skid-proof screws. Enhanced durability means these lights can also handle high temperature, corrosive, or high vibration environments; such as beaches, general factory sites or chemical factories.

Phase-Change Metal Thermal Interface Material for efficient cooling

The use of new PCM TIMs in FL180 provides extreme thermal conductivity and the lowest thermal resistance. The PCM TIM sits between the LED panel and the heat sink to provide long-lasting, high-performance thermal conduction, to keep lights running cool and efficiently. Compared to traditional TIMs, PCM TIMs dissipate heat approximately 10-12 percent more effectively, as well as having the advantage of not drying out over time.

IP certification, multiple beam angles and color temperatures

The flood light series offers features such as a choice of up to three beam angles, narrow (<30°), standard (60°) and wide/broad (110°), with frosted glass also available for the FL180 at 110°. All AC and DC input models are IP66 certified, except those with PIR sensors, which are IP54 certified. All GlacialLight flood lights are available in two color temperature options, Warm White (3000K) and Cool White (5700K).

Standard AC input

GlacialLight offers five models with standard AC input: FL12, FL30-V2, FL60, FL120, FL180. This wide product range offers power options from 13W up to 175W, and can accept a wide range of AC voltages — from 100 to 277 volts.

With the addition of the optional brace accessory, the GL-FL120 can be used as a street light, for example in outdoor parking lots, park and garden illumination, and similar functions.

PIR sensor for movement detection

There are two models with infrared movement detection sensors, the FL12S and FL30S-V2. Passive infrared (PIR) movement detection can cut energy consumption and light pollution, by automatically switching on lights only when they are needed. LEDs are ideal for this role, because they provide full illumination almost instantly, with no flickering and no warm up time, unlike older lighting solutions.

They also enhance security by drawing attention to unexpected movement. These products are ideal for parking lots (indoor and outdoor), foot paths, private driveways, and public spaces such as hallways and corridors.

DC input for solar panels

GlacialLight’s range of DC input flood lights are comprised of the FD12 and FD30-V2. These products do not require a PV inverter, they can be connected directly to DC inputs. Therefore they are a perfect match for solar powered lighting solutions, as they can be easily connected to solar panel systems, without requiring an additional inefficient conversion stage.

Environmental friendly

GlacialLight products are fully RoHS compliant, to protect the environment and customers. They do not contain hazardous chemicals, such as mercury. They do not emit harmful UV or IR radiation, making them far more eco-friendly than traditional lighting fixtures and other lighting technologies. Even packaging is recyclable.

GlacialLight’s Flood Light series brings pleasant, functional, flicker free light to its users. This is a cost-effective, well-designed choice for all industrial, commercial and public lighting applications. GlacialLight stands behind the flood light range with a full two year manufacturer’s warranty. The company is very excited to be sharing this growing Flood Light series with its existing and new partners worldwide.
