Indonesian venture capital firm AC Ventures has hired Lauren Blasco as principal — head of environmental, social and governance (ESG).
In her new role, Blasco will be responsible for the strategic direction and implementation of ESG principles across AC Ventures’ business operations and investments.
AC Ventures is an early-stage technology venture fund that invests in Indonesian technology and digital businesses. Based in Jakarta, the firm was formed from the merger of venture capital firms Agaeti Venture Capital and Convergence Ventures in 2020.
Blasco joins with 10 years of sustainability experience in the private, public and educational sectors. She was previously director of sustainability at hospitality firm Potato Head Family.
Over her career, she has worked for soap recycling non-profit Clean the World as executive director and as an analyst with investment firm RJM.
She has also been a guest lecturer at the National University of Singapore, adjunct professor at The University of Hong Kong and consulted on projects with the National Environment Agency in Singapore.
