China’s low-carbon stocks rally most in Shanghai composite

China’s so-called low-carbon stocks rallied the most in the Shanghai Composite Index on a Securities Times report that the government will make this area a priority item for economic development.

A plan to boost China’s low-carbon economy will be the top proposal of the Chinese People’s political Consultative Conference due to open today, the Securities Times reported, without citing anyone.

The report suggests raising the development of the low-carbon economy to the national strategic level.

Jiangsu Sunshine Co. surged 10 percent to 6.86 yuan at 10:42 a.m. local time in Shanghai trading. Shanghai Electric Group Co. gained 10 percent to 10.34 yuan.
