We inspire change-actors to step up their ambition, stretch their vision and find pathways towards tackling the complex causes of the ecological and social challenges of our time. We partner with business, civil society, government and philanthropy to initiate multi-stakeholder collaborations to drive deep systemic change. We operate as a global team, across four geographies—Americas, UK/Europe, India and Southeast Asia—delivering both international and local projects.

About the role

Forum is at an exciting time in its evolution. As we celebrate our 30th anniversary, this role holds the potential to enhance our ability to create deep and lasting impact in Southeast Asia.

We are looking to appoint an experienced Marketing and Communications Manager to drive excellence in brand marketing communications and approaches to support Forum’s positioning, income generation efforts and programme delivery in the UK and Southeast Asia regions and internationally. The role will be based in Singapore or the United Kingdom and will be a part of Forum’s Marketing and Communications team.

To thrive in this role, you should have 4 to 6 years of experience in brand and programme communications and marketing. A background in sustainability or the international non-profit sector is desirable. You should possess skills in:

  • A strong track record of developing and delivering effective multi-channel communications and marketing strategies to support multi-stakeholder collaboration programmes (preferably in the sustainability field);
  • Strategic thinking, with the ability to see how communications efforts are critical to creating impact;
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, with proven ability to write and develop compelling materials for a wide range of audiences;
  • Excellent relationship building, networking and presentation skills
  • A strong track record in working with the media, including writing and selling in various media content, and a sound knowledge of the media and communications landscape in Southeast Asia or the UK;
  • Experience in managing creative design and production, and working with suppliers;
  • An eye for a story and a strong ability to translate complex material into compelling key messaging and thought leadership;
  • Highly organised, able to juggle multiple priorities and work remotely across multiple time zones;
  • A team player – able to work effectively in a matrixed structure and in cross-cultural teams, and coach others to develop their own communication skills;
  • A high degree of innovation, creativity and adaptability;
  • A basic familiarity with and understanding of sustainability issues;
  • Commitment to the Forum’s purpose, culture and values

If you do not meet all the requirements outlined in the job description but still believe you have the right mix of skills and experience to thrive in this role and further Forum’s ambitious goals for change, we encourage you to apply.
