Organised by the Building and Construction Authority of Singapore and into its eighth run from 5 Sep – 11 Sep 2016, the Singapore Green Building Week (SGBW) will play host to international green building experts, policy-makers, academics, built environment practitioners, tenants and end-users, including members of the public and students, for a congregation of ideas, collaboration, partnership and learning, to achieve a shared vision of a greener planet through the green building movement.
The International Green Building Conference (IGBC) 2016 to be held in Marina Bay Sands from 7 – 9 Sep 2016, will be the anchor event of SGBW. As the premier green building event in Asia, IGBC 2016 expects to attract more than 1,000 participants from over 30 countries - from thought leaders, real estate developers to urban planners, architects, engineers, builders and other industry professionals - committed to understanding and putting into action real-world, tangible and leading green building solutions. Also present at the conference will be policy-makers and key government officials from several growth markets, who will give their unique public sector perspectives on green building solutions, policies and plans. Academics will also share their latest research findings in green building development.
This year, in support of the historic Paris Landmark agreement at COP21 towards taking action on climate change. The IGBC 2016 themed “Build Green: The Next Decade”, hopes to inspire and catalyse new thinking, collaborations and partnerships as well as new innovative and integrated/ holistic solutions to climate change. Through the engagement of global and regional stakeholders, IGBC 2016 strives to accelerate this transformative evolution of our green building movement to shape a sustainable future for generations to come.
