ISO 14001:2004 Awareness Briefing

ISO 14001 is the internationally recognised standard for the environmental management of businesses. It prescribes controls for those activities that have an effect on the environment. These include the use of natural resources, handling and treatment of waste and energy consumption.

Through implementing the system, organisations enjoy benefits such as increased costs savings resulting from improved efficiency and productivity, comply with current legislations and makes insurance cover more accessible. It also demonstrates an organisation’s commitment to the environment and thus gives a competitive edge and enhances its image in the eyes of customers, employees and shareholders.

Building & Construction Authority (BCA) has announced the need for all contractors registered under CW01 (General Building) and CW02 (Civil Engineering) with grades B1 and B2 to obtain the ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems by 1 July 2013. Failure to comply with this regulation may result in the downgrading of current grading status from B1 and B2 to grade C.

Avanta Global Pte Ltd will be organising a complimentary awareness briefing to prepare all companies in Singapore that will be affected by this new regulation or companies that are interested in attaining ISO 14001:2004 to upgrade their current company standards.

You may download the registration form here. Admission is Free of Charge.
