The International Erosion Control Association (IECA) are proud to bring you the 2013 Mining Rehabilitation Conference to be held at Cypress Lakes Resort, in the Hunter Valley from the 21st - 24th May.
The 2013 Conference will feature:
Two full day Pre Conference Workshops on Tuesday 21st May: An outstanding program of International and Australian Keynote and Plenary Speakers who are leaders in the field of Mine Site Rehabilitation; a full day Technical Tour on Friday 24th May; a series of social and networking events throughout the Conference
Delivering effective coal mining rehabilitation is a critical commitment in the social contract between the mining industry and the community. With a significant anti coal mining groundswell evolving at a grass roots level on the back of the debate regarding climate change and dust health impacts – failing to deliver on the industries rehabilitation commitment is something that the industry can ill afford at this time.
Successful rehabilitation is dependent on having the political will to go out and do the job and a technical understanding of what has to be done. This conference aims to inspire you to have the political will to get out there and undertake rehabilitation and equip you with the technical skills and scientific knowledge necessary to undertake rehabilitation successfully.
We will do this by:
Celebrating and communicating industry best practice; providing site specific case studies conveying real world learnings; bringing you industry specialists that are experts in their field; critically evaluating and learning from industry failures
The International Erosion Control Association is a not for profit organisation with the prime objective of providing high quality technical information to members and other relevant stakeholders.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Hunter Valley in May 2013.
