David Quimpo has acted as a conservation specialist for the Haribon Foundation since 2012. In this role, he assists with policy writing at both the local and national level, and trains community-based forest protection teams.
Protection of Dulungan is particularly special to David as it was the first species he worked on when he started working at Haribon. Very few studies have been conducted in his target areas, particularly after a strong typhoon in 2013 damaged significant areas of forest habitat on Panay Island.
