Mandy Freund

Mandy Freund is a Lecturer in Climate Science and Geography at the University of Melbourne. She specialises in climate variability across the tropics and extra-tropics, with a focus on seasonal to decadal timescales.

Her research interests include the El Niño–Southern Oscillation and its associated teleconnections, climate regimes that influence droughts and precipitation anomalies, and the use of advanced statistical and machine-learning methods to examine their dynamics, implications and applications.
