The success story of Aquatech China continues

Aquatech China was a resounding success and a major milestone for the water technology industry. The seventh edition of the show featured some 1400 exhibitors from 34 countries.

Despite heavy rainfall during the days of the show, which caused significant traffic problems in Shanghai, the exhibition once again welcomed more visitors than the previous year. The very first Industrial Leaders Forum China added an extra dimension to the show.

Next year’s Aquatech China will be held in a brand-new venue in Shanghai, making room for the expected additional growth. Aquatech China 2015 will be held from 10 to 12 June in Shanghai.

An international audience of over 40,000 decision-makers visited the show over three days from 25-27 June. Ten per cent of the visitors came from outside of China, representing 90 different countries.

“The atmosphere has been great, with attendance level and quality underlining just how important a platform like Aquatech China is for the Asian water industry,” Exhibition Product Manager Annelies Schenk comments. “The international audience was overwhelming, especially on the first two days.” Aquatech China was co-located with FlowEx China for the second time this year.

Knowledge programme custom made for the Chinese water market

Water scarcity and water pollution are major challenges faced by China, and the organisers of Aquatech Global Events believe that the leaders in the water and industrial sectors should join forces to solve them.

The Industrial Leaders Forum China was therefore held in Shanghai for the first time this year. Representatives from companies such as HSBC, WWF, Coca-Cola, Yanjing Beer, H&M and AkzoNobel discussed the challenges of implementing better water management practices into their operations in China, as well as engaging suppliers and upstream companies in changing their own systems to both lower pollution and increase water efficiency use.

“The Industrial Leaders Forum at Aquatech China is an excellent way to meet and exchange ideas with thought and business leaders who are engaged in innovative and exciting projects in the China water sector,” explains John Haffner, Director and Asia Representative at Dagua Technologies Inc., Canada. Some 150 professionals joined the audience to hear from the captains of industry.

Brand-new venue allows for faster growth

On 10 to 12 June 2015, the next edition of Aquatech China will take place in the newly built China Expo Complex. Given the continuous growth of Aquatech China, the organisers had to look for other venues to host the exhibition. The show will, accordingly, move to the largest exhibition centre in Shanghai.
