Singapore – Ricoh Asia Pacific Pte Ltd receives the Best Company for Sustainability in Asia Pacific Region during the IAIR Award Ceremony, held at the Sheraton Hotel in Hong Kong on 22nd November 2013.
Together with organizations like Westpac Banking Corporation, Wilmar International and QBE Insurance, Ricoh is among the 30 organisations from all over Asia to be awarded for the Best Company recognition.
As the sole sustainability award winner in the office and printing solution industry, this is the official statement quoted by the judging panel: “For its ability in combining high quality technological solutions with a sustainable approach from its inception. Thanks to the development of energy saving technology, it enables CO2 reduction, minimizing the environmental impact through user-friendly and innovative products while promoting green initiatives and social responsibility”.
Mr. Aaron Yim, Managing Director of Ricoh Hong Kong graced the ceremony to receive the award. “Ricoh is honoured to receive this recognition from IAIR. At Ricoh, development of environmental technologies is one of the most significant efforts made to realize sustainable environmental management. Furthermore, Ricoh’s sustainability commitment has also stepped up to Creating Shared Value (CSV) which focuses on three principles – Good for “Environment”, “Economy” and “People”. This new approach comes together with a clear objective of maintaining competitiveness to the customers’ benefits while promoting sustainable development.” said Mr. Yim.
