ST Engineering today planted 950 trees to commemorate the Group’s annual Green Month. The tree planting is in support of the Plant-A-Tree programme by the Garden City Fund, a charity under National Parks. Each tree sapling costs $200 to plant. The 950 trees are planted along a 4km stretch spanning the Nature Walk and Riverside Walk of Punggol Promenade.
This is not the first time the Group has rallied its employees to show support for environmental causes. Previously, ST Engineering employees, with their families, planted 2,008 trees at Admiralty Park; and picked up garbage from eight kilometres of beach at East Coast Park.
