Infineum, one of the world leaders in the formulation, manufacture and marketing of petroleum additives for fuels and lubricants, has donated S$10,000 to the Singapore City Garden Fund to mark Singapore’s Golden Jubilee year (SG50).
The donation will pay for the planting and upkeep of 50 trees in Bedok Town Park – one to mark each year of Singapore’s independence. The tree planting event, held on 9 June at the park, was attended by nearly 60 employees of Infineum Singapore Pte. Ltd.
Mr. Trevor Russell, Executive Vice President, Sales and Supply, Infineum International Ltd. and Managing Director of Infineum Singapore Pte. Ltd, commented: “Singapore is fundamental to our business and we are proud of our long history in the country. In such a momentous year for the nation, we wanted to mark the occasion by planting these trees as a symbol of our commitment to grow together for many years to come. We support Singapore’s Garden in the City program with the continued planting of trees to ensure the greening of Singapore for generations to come.”
The event was attended by Ms. Waheeda Abdul Rahim, Assistant Director, National Parks Board, Singapore and Ms Yvonne Chee, Manager of Community Parks.
