‘Green’ agreement by Tongji research center and TUV SUD

China’s goal of constructing more environmentally friendly buildings has created a huge market for “green” building contractors, a trend leading testing, inspection and certification company TUV SUD looks to benefit from.

The latest development is an agreement between TUV SUD and the Sino-European Energy Building Training Research Center at Tongji University signed on Dec 11 at a green commercial property and hotel summit in Shanghai.

The deal calls for improving energy efficiency and developing talent in China’s construction sector by combining Tongji’s scientific research and TUV SUD’s market experience.

“We are delighted to cooperate with Tongji University in the promotion of energy conservation and emission reduction in buildings in China,” said Wolfgang Huebl, senior vice-president of Product Service Division at TUV SUD Greater China.
