Impact Chat is Heading Out this Saturday!
Join us as we tour the (Kranji) countryside
Join Impact Chat this Saturday for a breath of fresh air and a new appreciation of the food on your table. We’re trying somethiing different and getting on a bus to Kranji this Saturday, November 24th as Impact Chat features A Quest for Food Sustainability with an interactive farm and food tour highlighting the issue of food security in Asia.
This Chat will highlight some of Shujog’s findings about the food security sector in Southeast Asia and feature Bollywood Veggies (with a warm welcome from resident farm-preneur Ivy Singh) and the farmers at the Kranji Countryside Association as they discuss how farmers in Singapore are trying to convert one corner of the little red dot into a sustainable farming hub.
Wondering why should you come? It’s a great way to get outside of the city, learn more about your country and be more thoughtful and respectful of the food you see on your plate and the people working hard to bring it there.
Snacks and sumptuous lunch will be provided by Bollywood Veggies so come hungry and curious!
When: 24 November 2012: 9:00am to 2:00pm
Where: Bollywood Veggies, Kranji Countryside
A private bus will take participants to and from Bollywood Veggies. Pick-up and drop-off at IIX/Shujog’s office at 38 Carpenter Street.
Cost: S$52.50 (inclusive of transportation, food, tour and registration fee). Payment/Registration must be made to confirm attendance
