Singapore conglomerate Kuok Group appoints Komi Rajdev to lead sustainability

Rajdev brings extensive experience in the banking sector to the role, running sustainability for one of Singapore’s largest conglomerates, with interests in real estate, hospitality and maritime businesses.

Singapore-headquartered conglomerate Kuok Group has appointed Komi Rajdev to lead its sustainability function.

Rajdev will oversee group-level sustainability operations for Kuok Group (Singapore), reporting to the group CEO in the corporate office.

Kuok Group is one of Singapore’s largest conglomerates, with interests in real estate, hospitality, logistics, food, maritime, digital infrastructure and commodities. It owns companies including hospitality brand Shangri-La Group, palm oil giant Wilmar International and Kerry Logistics.

Rajdev’s role as general manager of group sustainability will focus on the group’s maritime, digital infrastructure and real estate businesses.

Rajdev joins a company that “believes in integrating sustainability commitments across the group to create long-term value”, according to a statement from Kuok Group.

She joins from Moody’s, where she was part of the rating agency’s Asia Pacific environmental, social and governance (ESG) relationship management team.

Rajdev brings extensive experience in the banking sector to the role, having worked for HSBC, Mizuho Bank, JP Morgan Chase and WestPac.
