As climate change and great-power rivalry intensify, oceans are emerging as a geopolitical frontier – testing whether diplomacy can manage rising tensions over shipping routes, seabed minerals and fishing grounds.
By excluding outside powers, Pacific leaders face a test of unity as they grapple with climate change, security rifts and development needs.
A balanced approach that includes both solar photovoltaic and solar thermal, backed by strong policy support, local manufacturing and circularity infrastructure, is essential to ensure India’s energy security.
