Pune and San Jose partner for sustainable city planning

The cities of Pune in India and San Jose in California have signed a memorandum of understanding to undertake joint planning activities to build sustainable cities. Pune Mayor Vaishali Bankar said the two cities will also explore areas of energy efficiency and conservation to mitigate climate change. Bankar said the MoU is not a legally binding document and serves only as a record of interest between Pune and San Jose to identify joint areas of cooperation.
