GRI ASEAN Reporters Webinar: Reflecting on 2020 - What we have learned for 2021

The urgent need for sustainability became even more prescient in 2020. Not only has every single person across the globe been impacted by Covid-19, 2020 is likely to be the warmest year since records began in the mid-1800s; and the continued degradation of ecosystems and biodiversity has profound consequences on our well being and survival.

However, despite this, there are glimmers of hope on the horizon. Governments are designing new green deals; the capital markets and governments are embracing green finance; ESG is becoming part of the mainstream and there has been a surge in investment in ESG.

Regulators are strengthening their requirements for mandatory sustainability reporting, while at the same time governments and businesses are recommitting to the SDGs in this decade of action. There is still much to be done as we near the tipping point.

With these themes in mind, we invite you to participate in our third reporters webinar where we will share insights on policies and actions occurring across the globe and ASEAN with a renewed focus on sustainability and how GRI is supporting organizations on their sustainability journey through new standards, increasing the awareness of the value of sustainability reporting and capacity building initiatives.
