As the global data center market accelerates—driven by the explosive growth of AI and cloud computing especially, power demand for data centres is set to quadruple from 2.6 GW to 10.7 GW between 2025 and 2035, accounting for 3-4 per cent of peak demand by 2035 in Southeast Asia, up from 1 per cent in 2025, according to Wood Mackenzie’s base-case scenario. Some 7-10 per cent, or 48-70 TWh, of all power demand growth in Southeast Asia could stem from data centres over the next 10 years.
With the global energy transition forging ahead at pace, the availability of a reliable, low-carbon footprint power supply is a must. What will the AIDC Power market look like in the coming decade in the SEA region? How VREs, nuclear power, LNG/Gas power and BESS advances, power grid infrastructures development will re-shape the AIDC Power supply landscape? What are the emerging technological trends you need to pay attention to to drive down cost and gain long-term competitiveness from the beginning?
The Data Center and Power SEA Summit 2026 is going to bring together regional DC leaders, policy makers, technological innovators and financiers to dive deep into the hot topics and thrash out practical solutions to future energy challenges in DC on 8-9 July 2026 in Bangkok.
Key topics:
- Policy and compliance of Data center investment and energy supply
- Power sourcing and capacity planning
- REs and PPAs for AIDC
- Technological innovations for Power system supporting DC Decarbonisation and energy efficiency
- BESS and power grid development for future AIDC
- lng/gas power and AIDC power reliability
- Supply chain resilience for data center power
- VREs and PPA models for DC
We look forward to meeting you in Bangkok in May.
