Eco-Business has been named a Champion of Good by the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre (NVPC), joining 63 organisations recognised this year for embedding corporate purpose into their operations and creating positive impact across society.
The accolade was presented at the Company of Good Conference and Conferment at Fairmont Singapore by the city-state’s deputy prime minister and minister for Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong. A total of 481 businesses received recognition under the refreshed Company of Good Recognition System in 2026, bringing the three-year total to 1,046 organisations as the Company of Good movement marks its 10th anniversary.
“Being recognised as a Champion of Good is a meaningful affirmation of Eco-Business’ commitment to creating positive impact for business, government and society,” said Meaghan See, Eco-Business’ chief commercial officer. “It reflects our belief in the role organisations can play in advancing a more sustainable and inclusive future, and in leveraging our convening platform to help drive that change.”
Launched in 2016, the Company of Good programme supports businesses in embedding purpose into their operations and recognises organisations for their contributions across five impact areas: People, Society, Governance, Environment and Economic.
In 2023, NVPC refreshed the recognition system, shifting its focus from corporate giving to corporate purpose following the launch of a national framework that defines corporate purpose as the guiding principle underpinning an organisation’s strategy and operations.
“Ten years on, Company of Good has shown that corporate purpose is increasingly becoming an integral part of how organisations create value for their stakeholders and the broader society,” said Tony Soh, chief executive officer of NVPC.
“As we look ahead, NVPC will focus on strengthening the community of Companies of Good and enabling organisations to learn from one another, collaborate across businesses and sectors and create impact together.”
Marking the programme’s 10th anniversary, NVPC said the milestone reflects the growing adoption of corporate purpose across Singapore’s business community.
