Singapore, 3 September 2026 – Armacell, a global leader in flexible equipment insulation and engineered foams, is reinforcing its commitment to driving energy efficiency, reducing emissions and supporting more sustainable infrastructure development across Asia‑Pacific.

As regional demand for high‑performance insulation continues to rise, the company is intensifying collaboration with industrial operators, mechanical consultants and building owners to address the growing need for reliable, resource‑efficient thermal‑management solutions.

Energy efficiency remains one of the most cost‑effective decarbonisation strategies—particularly in fast‑growing Asia‑Pacific markets, where HVAC systems can account for up to 40 per cent of commercial building energy consumption. Industry research consistently shows that the professional installation of appropriate insulation materials significantly reduces heat loss, prevents condensation and stabilises system performance, delivering measurable reductions in operational energy use.

Armacell offers a comprehensive insulation portfolio designed to support a wide range of mechanical and industrial applications. Its flexible elastomeric foam (FEF) solutions, based on nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR)—including ArmaFlex® Class 0—as well as EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) such as HT/ArmaFlex, deliver reliable thermal performance and long‑term durability. Insulation solutions incorporating Armacell’s patented ArmaPrene™ technology, including ArmaFlex Ultima, further enhance fire-safety performance.

These offerings are complemented by ArmaGel®, Armacell’s next‑generation aerogel insulation blanket featuring ultra‑low thermal conductivity for applications requiring thinner, lighter or higher‑efficiency systems. Together, these solutions help optimise long‑term energy performance across high-temperature and chilled water networks, data centre cooling systems, industrial processing facilities and district‑energy infrastructure.

A strong advocate for sustainability, Armacell was also the first company in the ASEAN region to receive independently verified Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) from UL Environment in 2015. These declarations provide transparent, third-party verified lifecycle data, enabling engineers, specifiers and building owners to align insulation choices with international and regional green building frameworks, including LEED®, BREEAM® and the WELL Building Standard®, as well as locale certification schemes such as Singapore’s Green Mark, Indonesia’s Greenship and Vietnam’s LOTUS.

Armacell’s sustainability roadmap is anchored in its global climate action plan, which targets a 63 per cent reduction in Scope 1 and 2 direct and indirect emissions and a 30 per cent reduction in Scope 3 indirect emissions by 2035, measured against a 2024 baseline. Alongside decarbonising its own operations, the company continues to quantify and increase the emissions avoided through the use of its insulation solutions across industrial, commercial and residential applications—reinforcing insulation’s critical role in enabling long-term climate and energy-efficiency outcomes.

“As regional industries respond to climate commitments and energy-performance mandates, energy‑efficient insulation becomes a strategic necessity rather than an optional upgrade,” says Scott Fang, Armacell’s Executive Vice President, Asia Pacific. “Our mission is to provide insight, assurance and technical expertise so customers can meet their sustainability targets without compromising safety, reliability or performance.”
