Some want philanthropy to fill the gap, and others have shamed governments for stepping back. The former is unrealistic, while the latter ineffective. But even with constrained budgets, governments can provide assistance to scale up proven solutions.
Amid a critical UN meeting on women and with aid cuts causing turmoil, we must remember that investing in women is a priority.

Did COP29 fail women?
The climate crisis is not gender-neutral, so our solutions cannot be. Without a consistent focus on gender-responsive climate finance, we risk perpetuating cycles of vulnerability.
Inspiring women are driving sustainable solutions and empowering communities, showcasing their potential to shape a more equitable and sustainable future.
