Twelve year wait for landfill not wasted

Orange City in the Australian state of New South Wales will finally begin contruction of its new waste facility after 12 years of court cases, bankruptcies and planning. An Orange City Council official said work on the landfill, composting and waste processing plant started Monday and would be finished by August of next year. No disruptions in waste services are expected.
