Companies in East Asia and the Pacific used the most electricity but sourced only 18.5 per cent from renewables, versus 68 per cent in North America, the International Telecommunication Union found.
The climate standards body says the consultation gives Southeast Asian firms — key players in global agricultural and land-use supply chains — a chance to help shape the second version of its Forest, Land and Agriculture (FLAG) Standard to guide companies in setting science-based targets for land-based emissions and removals.
