Indian community lobbies for flexible garbage hours

The daytime collection of garbage is causing problems for residents of Ludhiana in the municipality of Punjab in India. Residents there are now calling for dump trucks to collect their trash at night. They complain that the big dump trucks cause traffic congestion on the narrow streets, thereby causing much inconvenience to both residents and business owners. Restaurant owners have also complained that the foul smell from the garbage trucks are turning away their customers.
