Helen Roeth

Helen Roeth is a CSR Asia Associate focusing on private sector engagement in disaster resilience. Before becoming an independent consultant Helen was with CSR Asia for almost four years, first as Project Manager and then as Director of Research based in the Hong Kong office. She has extensive experience in sustainability reporting, stakeholder engagement, sector benchmarking and carbon auditing. Helen has issued and co-authored a number of research and best practice papers including on disaster resilience, climate change adaptation and mitigation, and corporate philanthropy. Prior to her CSR career she was with the UNESCO Regional Science Bureau for Asia and the Pacific in Jakarta where she worked on community-based disaster risk management. Before UNESCO she had been working with an Institute of Urban Water Management and the environmental consultancy IFOK in Germany. Helen is a graduate engineer in spatial planning from the Technical University of Dortmund, Germany.
