CapitaLand Investment (CLI) sustainability chief Vinamra Srivastava is departing after 10 years with the company, during which he led the formulation of the firm’s sustainability strategy and oversaw its execution.
His next move was unclear at the time of publishing, although he remains a director on the board of the CRREM foundation, a Netherlands-based non-profit that advocates for science-based decarbonisation in the real estate sector.
The Indian national joined CapitaLand in 2015 to lead corporate strategy and took on the chief sustainability officer role of the group’s real estate asset management arm in 2022. He was appointed chief sustainability and sustainable investments officer in 2024.
In a post to announced his departure on LinkedIn on Tuesday, the former management consultant said that his time in sustainability had led him to conclude that it “needs to be linked with value creation, business resilience and growth – and that’s how it can remain sustainable.”
Sriwastava has led CLI’s India franchise and was most recently responsible for establishing the company’s energy transition infrastructure vertifcal.

He is being replaced by Andrew Jasudasen, who was appointed CLI’s chief sustainability and sustainable investments officer designate in December.
Jasudasen joined CLI in June 2025 as executive director, sustainable investments from Lightsource BP, a renewables and storage firm owned by energy major BP, where he served as senior director.
Prior to that, he held global roles at financial services firms Macquarie and Eversource Capital, with expertise in infrastructure and renewables investment.
