Hanoi, 4 June 2011 – “Green Innovation Forum – Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy” is the opening event in a series of four programs of Green Innovation Forum 2011, organized by GreennoCom and 350Vietnam to introduce practical environmental solutions to the public in Vietnam. The program is sponsored by British Council and FPT Technology Research Institute.
Two guest speakers of the first event are Associate Professor Pham Ngoc Lan from College of Science, Vietnam National University with his research on Biodiesel production from waste cooking oil and Mr. Nguyen Phan Kien, the team leader of the project “Energy-saving equipment for fluorescent lamps with adjustable brightness levels”, which won the first prize at The Green Idea Contest 2010.
By sharing their ideas and experiences in finding practical solutions for energy issues in Vietnam, the speakers have helped the audience understand clearly about the market situation and the challenges in manufacturing energy efficient products in Vietnam. After the presentations, they also introduced the samples of their products to the forum’s audience and explained the usage and benefits of their innovation.
The forum once again pointed out the importance of practical solutions in energy efficiency and renewable energy, particularly in the Vietnamese context. “Green Innovation Forum – Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy” has become a platform for people interested in energy innovation to connect and share their ideas in tackling this issue.
