The international exhibition SMART BUILDINGS will be held for the first time parallel with the 9th Congress and Exhibition on Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EE & RE) for South-East Europe.
The concept of “Intelligent Buildings” quickly gained popularity and is associated with energy saving, healthy environment, ecology, comfort and security. “Smart / intelligent” buildings meet the utmost needs of residents and respond appropriately to different weather conditions. Today building automation systems and advanced building technologies are widely used in almost all areas of life thanks to strategic partnerships between software developers and providers of communications services and hardware.
According to forecasts the worldwide market for building automation software will reach $ 36 billion by 2015, while the market for energy efficiency of buildings will increase by 103.5 billion dollars by 2017.
The event will be a part of the South-East European Forum that is held in Sofia, Bulgaria and incorporates four international green energy business events: (1) SAVE THE PLANET - Conference and Exhibition on Waste Management, Recycling, Environment; (2) Congress and Exhibition on ENERGY EFFICIENCY & RENEWABLE ENERGY; (3) SEE SOLAR - Solar PV & Thermal Exhibition; (4) SMART BUILDINGS - exhibition on building automation systems and advanced building technologies.
The forum is focused on the SEE countries, but it attracts participants, attendees, visitors worldwide, including form Asia: in the 2012 there were exhibiting companies from 33 countries (Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, China, Croatia, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, FYR Macedonia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, the Netherlands, Turkey, UK and the USA ). The visitors were 20 % from Abroad, including from Asia: China, Israel, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, South Korea; etc.
