Southeast Asia is one of the fastest-growing energy markets in the world, and power demand in the region is projected to surge up to 60 per cent by 2040. Coupled with growing climate and environmental concerns, burgeoning energy demand has prompted countries to invest in smart grids and micro grids as an effective means to allow for more efficient allocation and use of electricity.
With the ability to control energy consumption in localised area and the availability of technology to enable smarter usage of electricity, the future of smart energy has now begun.
Smart Grids & Micro Grids Asia will gather the region’s government agencies, power and utility companies, telecommunication companies, Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) companies and more in a single platform – to transform the region’s energy market into a smarter one.
