Methane is a blind spot in Asian supermarkets’ climate strategies, study finds
Retailers in China, Japan, South Korea and Singapore were assessed on efforts to curb methane from meat, dairy and rice supply chains. None have set a reduction target, despite the greenhouse gas’s outsized climate impact.

EAT-Lancet report: Three key takeaways on climate and diet change
A global shift towards “healthier” diets could cut non-CO2 greenhouse gas emissions, such as methane, from agriculture by 15 per cent by 2050, according to a new report.
The ground-up initiative, launched by Singapore charity EB Impact in partnership with the Inter-University Environmental Coalition, saw student innovators pitching ideas for funding to scale their solutions, as well as youths participating in a conference and a sustainability career “speed dating” session.
