Fidelity International hires Gabriel Wilson-Otto from BNP Paribas as sustainable investing director

Wilson-Otto joins to spot green investment trends, and will be based in Hong Kong.

Investment firm Fidelity International has hired Gabriel Wilson-Otto from BNP Paribas as director of sustainable investing.

Wilson-Otto, who will be based in Hong Kong, joins Fidelity after just over two years with BNP Paribas Asset Management, where he was global head of sustainability research.

His role is to work sustainability considerations into Fidelity’s investment decisions, and spot sustainable investment trends. Fidelity manages USD $566 billion in client assets across Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, South America and Canada.

Wilson-Otto will will report to Fidelity’s Singapore-based global head of stewardship and sustainable investing, Jenn-Hui Tan.

Before joining BNP Paribas, Wilson-Otto spent 12 years with Goldman Sachs, latterly as Asia director of GS Sustain, the investment bank’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance research arm.
