Key responsibilities:

The role of the sustainability intern is to provide support to the Group Sustainability Team in the implementation of the Group’s overall Sustainability strategy and roadmap, including but not limited to the following areas:

1. Assist in the creation and implementation of CIMB Group’s overall Sustainability Framework, strategy, vision and learning roadmap in supporting Sustainability outcomes for the Group

2. Conduct benchmarking and ongoing research on industry regulations, policy decisions and best practices in order to keep stakeholders across the Group abreast of material developments in sustainability impacting business decisions

3. Assist in liaising with and coordinating engagements, including supporting pre-work for, and helping to run workshops for key internal and external stakeholders

4. Support data collection efforts for the internal and external reporting on Sustainability related practices to the relevant regulators and indices

5. Provide PMO and administrative support to Group Sustainability Council Secretariat – taking notes and producing meeting minutes and following up on action items.

Required competencies and skills:

Computer literacy skills – Intermediate to Advanced level competency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

An added advantage if you have:

1. Good appreciation of banking practices, products and latest Sustainable practices

2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

3. Effective team work and time management skills to meet project datelines

4. Technical knowledge in Sustainable metrics, Sustainable reporting and Sustainable related products that are currently in the market
