About Season 3

Given the successful run of the first two seasons of this programme, the third season aims to deepen its impact on youths. Season 3 will have three key components, two in addition to the core mentorship programme that was introduced in previous seasons:

·     Mentorship Programme: The mentorship programme will continue to develop new capabilities in the area of sustainability, and serve as a thought leadership platform for youths and mentors to exchange ideas and drive sustainability innovation in Singapore. The programme also provides a timely opportunity for meaningful interactions between key stakeholders in the civic society and public and private sectors.

·     Capacity Building: In addition, this year we aim to run one workshop per month across the mentorship programme, totalling three workshops, with strategic support from the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment’s SG EcoFund. The goal of these workshops is to supplementSeason 3 youths with the relevant skills to improve the feasibility of their respective projects, provide sharing sessions with Sustainability Exchange alumni and sustainability professionals as they embark on their sustainability careers beyond the programme and serve as a networking platform for our alumni to stay connected.

·     Alumni Network: To deepen the relationships forged across season 1 and season 2, this upcoming edition aims to further deepen this network and create connections across our alumni network.Through workshops and other engagements, including the CSOxChange, this edition of the programme will aim to build this community.

Season 2

About the programme

Following a highly successful pilot programme in 2019 - 2020, Sustainability Exchange - Singapore's first of its kind youth-mentorship programme has concluded a second season!

The Covid-19 pandemic has shifted the focus on the sustainability of businesses, with a growing number of organisations acknowledging that sustainability practices adds to business resilience and greater innovation.

The Singapore Green Plan was unveiled in February this year, highlighting Singapore's national sustainable development targets for the next decade. With that in mind, we're thrilled to put together a second edition for youths and professionals to apply their fresh thinking to create new solutions and innovations to solve sustainability issues in the real-world business and policy context.

Sustainability Exchange is an initiative led by EB Impact, the non-profit arm of Eco-Business, and we are excited to announce a new range of partners supporting us. Our strategic partners this year include Meta and OCBC Bank; supported by the Climate Action SG Alliance, and our academic partners include the National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore Management University, Singapore University of Social Sciences and Singapore Polytechnic.

We hope that this edition will help forge meaningful connections for youths and mentors, academia and corporates, with the common vision of building a sustainability community and to catalyse the growth of a green economy.
