CLIMATE CHANGE IN ASEAN – BUSINESS RISK OR OPPORTUNITY?
Tuesday, January 22, 2019 | 9am-12pm
Paia’s Knowledge Building Series are capacity building courses that focus on some of the high-risk topics identified by the World Economic Forum Global Risks Report 2018.
The WEF Report identifies a cluster of interconnected environment-related risks – including extreme weather events, climate change and water crises, which have consistently featured among the top-ranked global risks for the past seven editions of The Global Risks Report.
As a recent report from leading climate scientists outline, climate change will be an increasing risk across business sectors and supply chains. But according to Indian Industrialist Anand Mahindra, there is another perspective: ‘climate change is the next century’s biggest financial and business opportunity’.
This knowledge building workshop will examine climate change from both a traditional business risk management perspective as well as a commercial value building opportunity.
Focus will be on outlining the business drivers and commercial messages around climate change, what leading organisations are doing to address climate change across in their operations and across their supply chains, and how to identify commercial risks and opportunities within an organisation.
Delivery of the workshop will be through an interactive, practical based learning approach. We look forward to seeing you there.
