BBC

Under the umbrella of the E-waste Academy, we are introducing a new programme called the E-waste Business Boot Camp (BBC) which is specifically for small entrepreneurs with existing e-waste related businesses and start-up in the e-waste space.

BBC aims to provide focused skills and knowledge to e-waste entrepreneurs based in developing and emerging countries. The boot camp will enable the participants to connect to investor networks and European recyclers to extend their business opportunities, and to support the development and setting up of environmentally and commercially sound e-waste management solutions.

The envisaged target group are entrepreneurs who have an SME e-waste related business and would like to scale, or entrepreneurs who have recently started their e-waste related start-up and would benefit from mentoring and improving their business planning and investors considering investing in green economy businesses. The proposed number of participants is a maximum of 20 businesses, limited to one participant per business. Participants will be selected through a rigorous application and referral process.

  • - Develop capacity to build sustainable and scalable businesses in the e-waste domain
  • - Provide expertise and mentoring opportunities for start-up business in the sector
