World Bank Group & Climate Action partner to deliver key launch event

With the Paris Agreement ratified, momentum is building behind effective NDC (Nationally Determined Contributions) implementation. The economic transition required presents an unprecedented opportunity internationally – creating new, sustainable markets for investment. For this potential to be unlocked, however, public and private sector stakeholders need to collaborate like never before to create the opportunities necessary to accelerate the trillions required to scale these opportunities.

Organised by the World Bank Group in partnership with Climate Action the Unlocking the Trillions Summit will be held in Barcelona, Spain, and take place on 24-25 May 2017, as part of Innovate4Climate: Finance & Markets Week, hosted by the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment.

Innovate4Climate is the global platform uniting leaders from government, the private sector and investment bodies to create the partnerships needed to unlock the trillions. This inaugural event will progress discussion and spark debate on greening the finance sector, developing innovative new investment tools, building viable markets and scaling low carbon technology, comprising breakout workshops, a market place of cutting edge exhibitors and plentiful networking opportunities alongside the core Summit.

The Summit will feature high-level keynotes, panel discussion, innovator insights and interviews as well as interactive polling and Q&A, comprising a must attend opportunity for investors, policy makers, CXOs and entrepreneurs looking to accelerate climate focused investment and solutions.
