On the occasion of the opening of the 71st U.N. General Assembly, the World Ocean Council CEO, Paul Holthus, has been invited to speak to a special high level panel on “Sustainable Oceans and the Blue Economy” consisting of:

The WOC has been requested to ensure there is input from the private sector to these important U.N. discussions on the ocean and small islands. In addition, the WOC was invited again to provide industry presence at the recent 3rd “Our Ocean” conference, organized and hosted by U.S. Secretary of State, John Kerry.
The WOC continues to provide ocean business community presence at a growing number of important international gatherings of senior government and inter-governmental officials. The 4th WOC Sustainable Ocean Summit (SOS), Rotterdam, 30 Nov-2 Dec 2016, will again bring together the ocean business community at the only annual industry conference developed by and for the private sector with a focus on ocean sustainable development.
