TÜV SÜD PSB leads the industry to offer new SS577:2012 water efficiency

Singapore - TÜV SÜD PSB today announces the availability of its certification services for the new national SS577:2012 water efficiency management system standard. Accredited by The Singapore Accreditation Council (SAC) to provide SS577:2012 certification services, TÜV SÜD PSB is able to support non-domestic water users in putting in place a systematic approach to improve their water efficiency, control their water usage habits, reduce operation costs and achieve certification to the new standard.

For a country such as Singapore which faces water scarcity and non-domestic users accounting for 55% of overall water consumption and 70% in 50 years, this will no doubt relieve organizations‘ efforts to echo the local government‘s call for water conservation.

SS577 is a complementary certification to organizations‘ existing ISO14001 and ISO50001 programs. TÜV SÜD PSB can also support organizations in the development and reporting of their Water Efficiency Management Plan (WEMP). With these efforts, SS577:2012 certified organizations can increase their capacity to receive PUB’s, the National Water Agency, Water Efficiency Building (WEB) Gold Certification.
