On October 17, 2012, NKSJ Holdings, Inc. (hereafter NKSJHD) was named one of the top 30 companies for CSR in “East Asia 30”, a list of the 30 top CSR performers from three East Asian countries (Japan, China and South Korea) released by the Asia CSR Expert Committee, chaired by Mr. JU, Chulki. NKSJHD was the only financial institution to be selected for the third consecutive year.
1. About “East Asia 30”
The Asia CSR Expert Committee, which is comprised of 10 experts from Japan, South Korea and China selected top 30 companies for CSR as “East Asia 30” based on comprehensive evaluations of Environment (climate change, water management etc., Social (labor safety, stakeholder dialogue etc.) and Governance (risk management, women in management position etc.).
2. Evaluation for NKSJHD
NKSJHD was selected in appreciation of its initiatives towards environment including climate change and biodiversity, detailed dialogue with stakeholders and fulfilling corporate citizenship activities.
