The launching ceremony of the Guangdong LuZhou Paper Mould Packing Products Co., Ltd.’s new factory was held on Oct. 19, 2011, spurred in part by rising demand for eco-friendly food packaging.
Established in 2001, the LuZhou Co. has been growing very fast with its eco-business of disposable paper tableware made from the by-product of sugar production from sugarcane. The company is now seeing a prosperous future and has decided to go with a totally new factory which will be equipped with fully automatic facilities.
Although the global economy is going through turmoil, the GM and the president of LuZhou are very positive about their decision. “As we see it, people are more and more concerned about the environment, and many of them take action to join us. We can see the government is reinforcing because the use of eco-friendly food packing must be implemented by the authority of law.”
The new factory will have six workshops, which will be built in the coming few years. In the first phase, two will be set up and operated early in 2012. At that time, the capacity of the company will be twice as large as it is now. And the annual sales will reach as high as 30 million USD, making the company 2-3 times ahead of the second largest manufacturer in China.
