Kyoto Energy Pte Ltd (“KYOTOenergy”), a global developer of Clean Development Mechanism projects has announced that it has sold 8.5 million Certified Emission Reductions (CERs) to the Swiss based energy trader VITOL S.A., a member of VITOL Group (www.vitol.com).
Under the terms of the transaction, futures contracts were signed for the delivery of certified emission reductions originated from a portfolio of hydropower and wind projects located in Vietnam and Laos.
Michel Buron, KYOTOenergy’s CEO commented, “We are pleased to have secured these contracts with one of the largest energy trader in the world. It brings a lot of credibility to our clients”.
