They have been our loyal exhibitors for many years and witnessed the growth of the fair. A number of them I spoke with have expressed positive comments on the show’s professionalism, as well as the new and diverse range of technologies that the fair offered.

As urbanisation in China accelerates, both exhibitors and visitors were optimistic on the growth of the intelligent building industry, as well as automation and electrical engineering markets in China. Guangzhou, where our fair was held, takes the lead. The future of the above markets and our fair is very bright.”

Exhibitors and visitors applauded the show’s professionalism and diverse range

Both new and returning exhibitors to Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology saw the fair as an effective platform for business expansion on the national and international level. For fourth-time exhibitor Beckoff Automation (Shanghai) Co Ltd, the fair provided a fantastic opportunity to capitalise on the growing building automation market in China. Mr Michael Peng, Marketing Manager said: “Our aim was to promote our building automation solution and EnOcean technology. During the fair, we met a lot of potential clients who were really interested in our products and technology. I have been to Frankfurt for the Light + Building show, and I think Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology has carried on what is good in Germany. The fair is definitely a very good and effective platform for building our company’s brand and for promotion.”

First-time exhibitor, Siemens China shared equal praise for the show’s ability to provide profitable business opportunities. Ms Ye Min Li, Product Manager noted: “In the past few years, we participated in Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition with OSRAM, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Siemens. But this year, we decided to have a separate booth in building automation area of Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology fair, for promoting our building automation products. During the fair, there were many professional visitors who visited our booth to know more about our products. We had some great interactions with them.”

During the four-day event, visitors were impressed by the prominent brands presented and the diversity of products and technology displayed in the fair. For Mr Amir Bernoos, Overseas Import/Export Chief at Taba Electronics Corp in Iran, the show provided access to quality suppliers for his growing home technology business. He shared: “This is my third time visiting the building show. I came to source video intercoms and find electronic component manufacturers for cooperation. We all know that the electrical engineering industry is booming in China, especially in South China and it will be the market we focus on in the future. This is a great platform where I can find potential partners, and I am very satisfied with the sufficient choices available.”

Mr Fung Hai Liang, Project Manager of Wuhan Boruide Intelligent Technology Co Ltd from China shared similar regard for the fair’s comprehensive offering. He commented: “This was my first time visiting the fair. My company mainly focuses on the domestic Chinese market, and we provide solutions and technical support to smart homes and intelligent buildings. I came to learn more about new products and to observe the demands in the market. I also wished to broaden my business network with more suppliers of high- quality products. Another aim of this visit was to get in touch with the representatives of prominent brands, such as ABB and Siemens, for potential cooperation in the future. I got a contact from ABB after attending the KNX seminars. We will look closely at the possibility of cooperation. This was indeed a fruitful journey!”
