Glencore Energy Leader Scholarships are now open for applications

The International Energy Centre (IEC), in collaboration with Glencore, awards scholarships to a small number of talented individuals who have been accepted into the Master of Energy Studies program. These $22,000 scholarships are awarded to applicants who have demonstrated the potential to become leaders in the energy sector.

The Master of Energy Studies (CRICOS code 073264E at the University of Queensland) is a world class program. It brings together a wide network of leading industry and academic experts to deliver a unique learning experience with a strong contemporary industry exposure.

The International Energy Centre’s courses are designed for professionals from a diverse range of disciplines across industry, government, research organisations and non-government organisations (NGOs). Teaching is provided by The Universities of Queensland, Western Australia and Newcastle, all leaders in the areas of climate change and energy research.

Glencore’s involvement includes bringing a business perspective to these issues providing advice on the curriculum, supporting students with scholarships, and providing opportunities for student to get practical experience to support their coursework.

Scholarships are available to eligible international and domestic applicants wishing to study the Master of Energy Studies in 2015.
