Beijing International Building Technology conference successfully launched
Debut event achieved overwhelmingly positive response from attendees
The first edition of the Beijing International Building Technology conference drew to a close with positive acclaim from both attendees and supporting organisations. Held from 8 – 9 April 2013 at the New China International Exhibition Centre in Beijing, China, the event was led by professional conferences and facilitated by a display area focused on the development of green building and energy-saving technology. It successfully gathered prominent industry associations, energy-saving companies and industry experts to address the needs and available solutions to Northern China’s booming property development market.
More than 350 visitors from a range of professions, including university professors, architects, engineers, energy experts, industry association representatives attended the two-day conference. Featuring more than 20 different sessions, the event offered a series of discussions on topics including green building and energy-saving technology, intelligent HVAC control, the integrated application of solar thermal technology, intelligent building standards, electrical engineering as well as smart home systems.
Commenting on the show’s success, Mr Richard Li, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt in China said: “Property development continues to increase across China, and by organising this conference-led event in Beijing, attendees were able to learn more about the latest developments and trends in intelligent and green building for Northern China. - KNX International Building Automation and Energy Management Technology Forum
- Application of Building Integrated Solar Thermal Technology
- 2nd China Green Building and Energy Conservation Technology Forum
Prominent industry associations and government departments became key factors to the event’s success. Some of the co-organisers to the 2013 conference included the China National Standardization Technical Committee for Digital Technique of Intelligent Building and Residence Community, Special Committee of Solar Buildings, China Renewable Energy Society.
The inaugural event achieved positive response from the supporting organisations. Attendees also offered praise for the conference’s professionalism. They saw it as a good platform for exchange and enhancement.
Mr Zhou Zhang Guang, technical manager of operation center from Himin Solar Co., Ltd, praised the “Application of Building Integrated Solar Thermal Technology” forum, which aimed to introduce developments in solar thermal technology for heating and ventilation systems. He remarked: “I am responsible for all solar water heating-related business in my company. I found the topics discussed during the forum very impressive. I think energy saving technology in buildings will be the main focus of the industry and it is the area my firm is also very concerned with.”
Fellow seminar attendee, Mr Xie Fei, engineer of China Architecture Design & Research Group shared similar admiration. He noted: “I found the forum very useful. It highlighted the point of view of designers in enhancing solar water heaters. The discussion I attended was very practical and useful, and I will suggest more related companies come and particapate next time.”
Mr Guo You, HVAC engineer from China IPPR International Engineering Corporation commented : “One of the seminars discussed the evaluation and inspection of buildings, which was very relevent to my field. I am looking forward to attending the next edition.”
Beijing International Building Technology is the sister show of Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology and Shanghai Intelligent Building Technology. The fair is held concurrently with ISH China & CIHE, the International Trade Fair for Sanitation, Heating, Ventilation & Air-Conditioning, and is scheduled to hold its next edition in spring 2014.
Beijing International Building Technology is organised by Guangzhou Guangya Messe Frankfurt Co Ltd and is headed by the biennial Light + Building event, which will take place from 30 March – 4 April 2014 in Frankfurt, Germany.
