Mr Craig Chambers, the Market Sector Director of Power Generation at AECOM said,

“The Australian Energy Storage Conference & Exhibition was clearly a culmination of hard work on the part of the organisers and a growing interest by industry in the emergence of this exciting new chapter in the world’s energy future. I enjoyed the networking, high calibre international and local presentations and diversity of exhibitors.”

The exhibition hall was bustling with trade visitors and over thirty exhibitors showcasing the latest technology, equipment, products and services. The exhibits included the latest electric car from Tesla to a dynamic light bulb from ReneSola. Panasonic displayed their new Residential Storage Battery System soon to be installed in selected zones of customers with solar-installed households in ACT, NSW and Queensland.

Visitors came from all over Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific demonstrating the popularity of this niche but growing industry, with almost 1,500 visits during the two day event. All were eager to experience and evaluate pioneering technologies, source new suppliers and attend the networking sessions. Praise from both visitors and delegates was high regarding the array of new products and services and the content of the conference program.

The event was designed to promote energy storage at all levels, including on grid and off grid solutions.

Mary Hendriks - Industry Executive Australian Energy Storage Alliance commented, “Energy storage is an important element in the transformation of our energy supply to smarter, cleaner systems, and this conference showcased innovative solutions and opened many new debates in the areas of commercial opportunity, economic viability, policy and regulation. This new era of being able to store power at all points is imminent, and will have commercial implications for existing suppliers of energy. The Australian Energy Storage conference brought together many of the major stakeholders and provided an excellent forum in this fast changing and disruptive industry.”

Exhibition Director Luke Kasprzak said:

“Australian Energy Storage Conference and Exhibition continues to be a successful event because it is an invaluable opportunity to view the latest products and innovations, and discuss benefits of technological advancements in this rapidly growing industry. The show has grown exponentially and we see the expansion as a testament of the event’s reputation in Australia with 2015 event exceeding all expectations. The value of face-to-face networking is invaluable and the level of optimism by both exhibitors and visitors was the highest it has been in years. We received positive feedback from the exhibitors on the quality of visitors this year and we have already received a large number of expressions of interest to exhibit at the Australian Energy Storage Conference and Exhibition in Sydney next year.”
